One lucky Malaysian, aisyah.09, recently got to video call her idol, Jackson Wang, thanks to her dad’s job as a Grab driver and a series of fortunate events.
It all began when her father, who works as a Grab driver, picked up Jackson Wang for a ride. After the trip, Wang realized he had left his AirPods in the car.
The considerate Grab driver returned the AirPods, and Wang showed his gratitude by giving him a simple autograph.
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Aisyah shared her dad was smart enough to recognize Jackson Wang as a superstar during the first ride, thanks to a conversation she had with her mum weeks ago.
“During the first encounter, my dad remembered his face but forgot his name, but he still took a photo with Jackson.”
“I was so surprised and so happy. I really couldn’t believe how my dad could be that lucky!”
Luck doesn’t come just once, but twice
A few days later, in an incredible twist of fate, her father once again picked up Jackson Wang.
This time, he saw an opportunity to make his daughter’s dream come true. He requested a video call with his daughter, who is a huge fan of Wang.
Initially, Wang’s friend tried to put off the request by saying, “next time,” but Jackson Wang himself stepped in and said, “never mind, let’s do the call!”
The heartwarming moment was captured in a video call, leaving the daughter ecstatic and with a memory to cherish forever.
