Not only is smoking considered to be bad for one’s health, it is also a source of annoyance to those who simply want to enjoy a meal without having to endure the scent of cigarette smoke staining their clothes.
A woman has recently gone viral for all the wrong reasons after she was caught smoking at a non-smoking area and gave a curt reply when confronted by a bystander.

In a tweet by a netizen named Syed Jaymal Zahiid shared yesterday (Aug 15), he wrote that he came across a woman who had allegedly smoked at a non-smoking area.
When he reminded her that she was breaking the law by smoking at a non-smoking area, the woman didn’t apologise but instead became upset and called his bluff by daring him to file a report with health authorities.
Syed Jaymal then acted on her ‘challenge’ and tried to contact the health authorities but to his dismay, he found out that the hotline on WhatsApp wasn’t working.
“@KKMPutrajaya your WhatsApp line is not even active. I want to make a complaint but I can’t. I have the woman’s personal details such as her name, address etc.”, he wrote.
Netizens divided over post
The tweet has since been viewed 2 million times at the time of writing, where it garnered mixed reactions from netizens.
On one hand, some commended Syed Jaymal for confronting the woman, with several of them advising him to lodge a report with the Health Ministry’s Inspectorate and Legislative Sector (SIPKKM).
On the other hand, some accused Syed Jaymal of chasing clout and subjecting the woman to public shaming by sharing her photo without prior consent.
Meanwhile, on a lighter note, a handful of netizens commented that the woman shared an uncanny resemblance with Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.
