A woman in Malaysia experienced an unexpected and embarrassing accident after her finger got stuck in one of the tiny holes on the backrest of a plastic chair, forcing her colleagues to call the fire department for help.
A video of the incident, uploaded by the Facebook page Friends of Bomba, has since gone viral, drawing thousands of views and plenty of amused reactions from netizens.
Finger gets stuck in office chair
The incident is believed to have taken place inside an office, where the woman had accidentally inserted her finger into the small round hole on the back of a plastic chair but was unable to pull it out.
Panicked and unable to free herself, she eventually sought help from the Fire and Rescue Department.

Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after and used specialised tools to carefully cut the chair without injuring her. Fortunately, she was unharmed, although visibly embarrassed during the rescue.
Netizens offer both jokes and advice
While the firefighters worked, the woman’s colleagues could be seen trying their best to hold back laughter. Her awkward expression combined with the tension in the room added to the comedic effect — something netizens immediately picked up on.
‘That finger must be really itchy. No other hole to poke it into, is it?’

‘No cooking oil meh? If it can go in, it can definitely come out. Even using thread can work. Now she’s going to get roasted as the champion of ‘finger poking’ after this.’

‘It’s the chair’s fault… that’s why it got cut. A clear sign that women are never wrong.‘
