A woman tragically lost her life after she fell several metres off the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) on Tuesday (Feb 25).
As per a report by Berita Harian, the tragedy took place at KM0.7 of the highway heading towards Shah Alam.

According to a statement by Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Shahrulnizam Ja’afar, he said the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division received a report of the incident at around 6.50pm.
Investigations revealed that the 30-year-old victim was thrown off the highway while riding a motorcycle and lost control of the vehicle while getting around a bend.

The motorcycle then grazed a car in front before the victim was thrown off the flyover (overpass)Â from an estimated height of 30 to 35m.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining severe injuries to multiple parts of her body,” he said.
As for the victim’s husband, who was also at the scene, a video showed him crying by the roadside while mourning over her passing.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987 as authorities work to determine the cause for the accident.
Eyewitnesses are also urged to aid investigations by contacting any nearby police station or investigating officer, Insp Muhammad Hisyam Azih, at +017-7378704.
Road users were also reminded to follow traffic laws so that such tragedies do not occur.
