A 38-second video shared on TikTok by @_mxfir95_ or known as Firdaus captures the tense moment. The footage shows the woman frantically withdrawing cash from the machine while her friends wait outside. She’s visibly panicked, anxiously awaiting the money to dispense.
As she finally grasps the cash, the automatic door begins to close slowly. Despite her best efforts to exit, she finds herself unable to squeeze through the narrowing gap.
The result? She’s left stranded, alone, inside the ATM vestibule.

In the video caption shared by @_mxfir95, viewers were provided with a sense of relief as it stated that the woman ultimately managed to escape with the assistance of auxiliary police and safely reached her home.
How it happened actually
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Firdaus shared that the situation arose spontaneously as the woman, caught in a rush, attempted to withdraw money from the ATM late at night. Despite being aware of the bank’s operating hours SOP, the delay in cash dispensing caused the automatic door to close.
Fortunately, there was a button inside the ATM vestibule to open the gate for safety purposes, a feature present in most banks.
“It happened spontaneously because my friend needed to withdraw money from the ATM, but we all finished work late. So, she tried her luck at the nearby ATM. However, due to a delay in cash dispensing, the bank gate closed automatically. My friend called us while we were nearby, but by the time we noticed, she was stuck inside. Despite her panic, we knew there would be a button to open the gate. However, my friend withdrawing money was scared, and it turned into a funny incident spontaneously.”
Firdaus further stressed that their group had police assistance present during the incident, and there was no real panic. They also extended apologies for any misunderstandings stemming from the viral video.

The video, which has garnered over 700k views, has sparked a flurry of comments discussing the harrowing incident.
