The incident was shared on TikTok by the OP, @naziana_nazeri, has since gone viral.

Bought food to support bazaar traders

In her caption, the woman said she had no intention of cooking that day as she wanted to support traders at Bazar Taman Jana in Kamunting, Perak.

“My intention today was not to cook because I wanted to support the traders at Bazar Taman Jana,” she wrote.

However, what was meant to be a simple meal for breaking fast turned into a shocking experience.

Child screamed after opening food packet

According to her, she purchased four packets of rice, three pieces of fried chicken, and two servings of okra from a nasi campur stall.

The total came up to RM25, which she paid via QR.

She said she did not check the food immediately after returning home as they were waiting for iftar time.

When it was time to break fast, my child opened the rice packet and suddenly screamed, saying there were maggots,” she shared.

At first, she thought her child was joking. But when she checked the rice herself, she found live maggots inside. Upon inspecting the chicken, she claimed it was also filled with maggots.

In her now viral caption, she sarcastically described the maggots as “dancing happily”.

‘We pay with our money, not asking for free’

The woman expressed deep disappointment over the alleged lack of cleanliness and honesty.

Please, if you want to do business, do it with integrity. We pay with our money, we are not asking for free food,” she wrote.

She added that the incident not only resulted in wasted money but also ruined her family’s mood for breaking fast.

“I do not forgive the money I spent on food like this. I hope this becomes a lesson for other traders too,” she said.

Thankfully, she shared that a close friend later sent food over so her family could still break fast.

Has yet to confront the seller

When asked whether she confronted the trader, the woman said she had not.

She explained that by the time they discovered the maggots, it was already time to break fast and the stall was likely closed.

However, she said she has proof of the QR payment, including the shop owner’s name.

KKM has contacted her

She also revealed that the KKM had reached out to her via private message for further details.

According to her, authorities have already initiated an investigation into the matter.

@naziana_nazeri Sihat² ulat nya tengah menariii 😅 Niat hati hari ni memang tak nak masak sebab nak support peniaga Bazar Taman Jana konon . Tapi tak sangka pula, ini "rezeki" yang saya dapat. Sedih dan kecewa sangat bila peniaga tak jujur macam ni. Tolonglah peniaga, kalau nak niaga tu biar ada keberkatan. Kita beli guna duit, bukan minta percuma. Janganlah sebab nak untung cepat, kebersihan dan kualiti makanan tolak tepi. Ni bukan setakat rugi duit, tapi dah spoil mood nak berbuka puasa satu keluarga! Aku memang tak halalkan duit ku untuk makanan macam ni. Moga jadi pengajaran buat peniaga lain juga. nasib la anak Ku Belum makan lagi ayam tu..bukak² dia jerit mamaaaa ! Ada ulat ! 😤 Yang komen jangan Komen "sbb tu aku tk rajin nak mmbeli di bazaar" itu Kau bukan aku..Aku punya duit tak mintak duit Kau haa .aku tengah spoil mood ni 😅 Nasib ada bestie baik hati hantar lauk n Nasi . thankyou bestiee kuu 😌 📍 Lokasi: Bazar Taman Jana, Taiping.
