In yet another tragic case of suicide, a woman took the lives of her two children as well as her own due to financial and relationship problems by burning charcoal at her home yesterday (Sept 7).
Guang Ming Daily reported that the incident took place at the fourth floor of an apartment located at Kg Baru Ampang at around 3pm.
The victims were identified as 42-year-old Wang Yanlian and her two kids aged 15 and 14 respectively.

According to China Press, it was disclosed that Huang’s former boyfriend last saw all three victims on Monday night (Sept 4) and had heard the sound of paper being torn from Huang’s room during the early hours of Tuesday morning (Sept 5).
On Wednesday (Sept 6), he found a note which was written by Huang’s colleague asking her to return to the company and settle some financial matters at the house door.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said police were dispatched to Huang’s home after her ex-boyfriend lodged a report regarding a homicide and found all three victims’ bodies in one of the rooms.
He added police found a suicide note and some cash at the scene and that all of the victims were fully clothed.
White school uniforms believed to belong to Huang’s children were placed on the sofa along with several exercise books on the table.
“We also discovered that the windows and door of the room where the victims committed suicide were tightly sealed with tape as well as a container filled with burnt charcoal underneath a sofa.
“The forensic team also found that the victims had died due to carbon dioxide poisoning and were deceased for more than 24 hours,” he said.
Police believe this is a case of suicide and are now investigating to see whether any criminal elements or motives are involved.
