While foreign workers often do the 3D (dirty, dangerous, difficult) jobs, they usually don’t get the appreciation and recognition they deserve for their efforts.
A roadside vendor has recently earned praise online after he generously treated a group of foreign workers to cold soya drinks on a sunny day.
Gives free soya drinks to foreign workers
In a 1-minute clip shared by the stall named Mamu Soya on TikTok, it showed the owner gesturing to several foreign workers passing by to stop for awhile.
Though they were slightly puzzled for a moment, the foreign workers happily accepted the man’s invitation and asked for two packets of soya drinks.

As the stall owner prepared the drinks, he initiates a conversation with the foreign workers by asking how long they’ve been in Malaysia. One of them reveals that he’s been in the country for five years while his colleague just arrived not too long ago.
The foreign worker also remarked how hard it was for him to learn Malay, to which the vendor quipped, “I think you can speak Malay after spending six months here. It’s simpler than English!”
Towards the end of the clip, the vendor hands two packets of soya drinks to the foreign workers and doesn’t ask for payment.

He also thanked them for stopping by and told them to be careful while returning to work.
Praised for his generosity
The clip has since garnered over 480,000 views at the time of writing as well as words of praise from netizens, who commended the vendor for showing kindness to the foreign workers.
