One diner’s bill from Johor Bahru became viral because of the total price for 3 plates of curry rice, causing mixed reactions.
A user took to the JB 柔佛吹水站 page to post photos of their meal and receipt, revealing that they were charged a whopping RM156.50 for 3 plates of curry rice Johor Bahru.
The receipt shows that the customer ordered multiple dishes, including various meats and vegetables, which were all calculated by portion size.
Alongside the food, they also ordered a drink, bringing the total to RM156.50.
One of the rice accompanied by a crispy piece of fried chicken and a mix of vegetables and seafood, including prawns and squid, all drenched in a rich curry sauce.
While another one rice comes with piece of fried chicken, a generous portion of spicy stir-fried vegetables, and petai beans cooked in a spicy sambal sauce.
The Facebook user posted those pictures with a sarcastic caption that goes: ‘In two or three years you could buy an entire row of shoplots, a whole row, not just one…'”
As expected, the internet had a lot to say.
Many netizens were taken aback by the high price, expressing their shock and disbelief in the comments.
However, not everyone was quick to judge. Some netizens defended the restaurant, pointing out that the price was justified by the quality and portion size of the food.
