However, a recent incident involving a M’sian uncle went viral, but unfortunately, not for the right reasons.
He was slammed online for putting his foot on the table at a mamak restaurant, leaving netizens shocked and baffled.
The incident was shared on TikTok by a user known as @ragu8821, who captured the unusual moment at a local mamak eatery.
In the video, an elderly man, who was dining at the restaurant, casually places his left foot on the table—right next to his meal—while playing on his phone.
What made it even more surprising was that his wife, sitting across from him at the same table, didn’t seem bothered by the behaviour and eating her food.
Stupid people… a place to eat is for eating, not to put your feet on the table,” the OP wrote in the description.

The video quickly sparked a variety of reactions. While some believed the man should’ve been reprimanded by the restaurant staff, others suggested this behaviour may be a result of habits formed at home and carried into public spaces.

Others were equally critical, with one user saying, ‘Some people never respect their food,’ highlighting the disrespect for both the food and the dining environment.
