A heartwarming moment on the road has recently gone viral after a Malaysian woman shared how a lorry driver surprised her family with a kind gesture during their morning commute.
The video, posted on Threads by user Threads handle @nrlna.naa, shows an Indian lorry driver stepping out of his vehicle at a red traffic light to give some cash to a baby seated in the car beside him.
Happened during morning commute in Melaka
According to the woman, the incident took place at around 7.49am at a traffic light in Krubong, Melaka while she and her family were on their way to work.
She said the lorry driver had been looking at her child from the adjacent lane. Noticing this, her husband rolled down the car window.
Her baby then looked back at the man.
Driver surprises family with kind gesture
What happened next caught the family off guard.
The lorry driver suddenly got down from his vehicle and approached their car before handing some cash to the baby.
The woman said she was shocked by the unexpected act, but deeply touched by his kindness.
In her caption, she thanked the man and described him as a good person who chose to do good regardless of race.
She also expressed hope that her child would always be surrounded by kind people.
“I felt touched and emotional”
Speaking to WeirdKaya exclusively, the woman said she felt both touched and emotional seeing her child being treated with such kindness by a stranger.
She also encouraged others who came across her post to say a prayer for the lorry driver, hoping that his affairs would be made easier.
