For teachers, one of the most stressful things is having to deal with misbehaving and uncooperative students, which can leave them physically and mentally exhausted.
A teacher at an unnamed school in Malaysia was at his wits’ end that he decided to leave a scathing message for the students who were caught playing games on the iPad.
M’sian teacher writes ‘I hate talking to you guys’ on whiteboard
According to a post titled ‘Requesting Opinion’ which was shared on the subreddit r/Bolehland a week ago, the OP posted a photo of a message which was left on the whiteboard at his school.
As seen from the photo, this was what the teacher wrote:
Assalamualaikum…I hate talking to you guys already. Do your own thing. If you still think me as a teacher, you can write your essay in your book. I already sent the essay in your Telegram’s group. That’s all. Thank you.
In the caption, the OP explained that the reason for the teacher’s sudden outburst was due to some students getting caught for playing games on the iPads they usually “use as books” during class.
Netizens express sympathy
In the comment section, a majority of netizens were deeply sympathetic for the teacher’s situation and frustration, adding that it was further compounded by the lack of corporal punishment being enforced compared to decades ago.
Meanwhile, some took aim at the teacher’s English proficiency, saying that the message was ridden with grammatical errors and caused them to have doubts over his teaching capabilities.
