A man from Malaysia who went viral after embarking on an extraordinary journey, driving his Proton Wira for 12,000 kilometers to reach Tibet, shared an unexpected discovery in Nepal—a Perodua service center.
Last week, Fawaz shared his experience on Facebook, detailing the service center located in Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital.
This facility not only provides maintenance for Perodua’s Axia and Myvi models but also offers services for other brands, including Toyota.
It proudly displays a certificate confirming its accreditation as an official Perodua service center, underscoring its professional standards.
Fawaz mentioned in his post that he plans to fly back to Malaysia for Eid celebrations and then return to Nepal, although the details of this trip are still being arranged.
“Before heading home, I’m getting my car serviced here at Nepal’s Perodua service center. Today, the journey continues towards India,” he wrote.
The establishment of a Perodua service center in Nepal has surprised many netizens who expressed their pride in the Malaysian automotive brand’s international presence.
“It’s great to see our second national car being serviced in Nepal – surely a testament to the brand’s export success,” one commenter noted.
