You won’t believe what this Malaysian man found: A homeowner in Shah Alam, Selangor, is renting out incredibly tiny rental room for around RM250.
In a tweet posted on Tuesday, 25 April, a netizen, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared photos of a minuscule room he was inquiring about.
Speaking to WeirdKaya, he initially found the listing on Mudah.my, but with no pictures provided, he contacted the landlord for more details.
Upon seeing the photos, the man couldn’t hide his shock and disappointment.
Room with “half” aircond
The landlord’s message stated, “This small room with no air conditioner costs RM200 (a month), while the room with an air conditioner costs RM250 (a month) with the electric bill included.”

Interestingly, one photo revealed that the air conditioning unit was shared with another space outside, with only half of the unit inside the room.
The room itself featured a worn-out single-size mattress on the floor, which nearly filled the entire space, leaving no room for any furniture.

Explaining his reasons for inquiring, the man told WeirdKaya “Yes, I’m looking for an affordable room to rent within my budget. So, I found the listing on Mudah.my and asked the landlord about the rental rooms for more details.”
Asking his first reaction to the messages, he was disappointed and shocked.
He said his budget was around RM200- RM300 for a rental room in Shah Alam.
One netizen shared a picture of their room with a shared air conditioner, to which the man replied, “Like how do you guys cooperate using the aircond together-gether? 😭”

One commenter said the room gives you the experience of what it’s like in a coffin.

The quirky situation even led to jokes among netizens, with one suggesting, “Better create a WhatsApp group 😂 Or else, knock on the wall and ask ‘bro, are you cold?’ 😭💀”
