In a heart-wrenching appeal, Shuhada Jamaludin, 38, recounts the mysterious disappearance of her son, Muhammad Danial Akmal Zulkhairi, 14, from his boarding school dormitory in Cheras.
The incident, unfolding in the early hours of yesterday, has left the family and community in distress.
Final calls before disappearance
Before vanishing, Danial reached out to his mother via three unanswered calls, leaving her with only the alarming news from the school of his absence.
Shuhada revealed that Danial, a victim of past bullying at school, had not raised any recent complaints, complicating the understanding of his sudden disappearance.
Visiting her son last on November 25, Shuhada remembers him being in good spirits and health, with no visible troubles.
Danial’s personality and behaviour
She describes Danial as a well-behaved and obedient child, excelling academically, albeit introverted and with few friends. His sensitivity and nature of keeping to himself, she noted, never affected his cordial relationships with peers.
As the eldest of three brothers, Danial’s safety and swift return are Shuhada’s foremost wishes. The family’s plea for his safe recovery is echoed by the Cheras District Police, led by Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim Jamaluddin, reported Kosmo.
Last known whereabouts
A formal missing person report was filed at 1.21pm yesterday, with Danial last spotted near Sekolah Menengah Sains Alam Shah in Cheras around 12.30 midnight.
In a bid to widen the search and gather crucial leads, Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim urges the public to share any pertinent information.
He emphasises the importance of community support and asks individuals with knowledge of Danial’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or the Cheras Police Hotline at 03-9284 5050/ 5051 and the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at 03-2115 9999.
As the search intensifies, Malaysians onto hope for the safe return of young Muhammad Danial Akmal Zulkhairi.
