The local Traffic Police Division (BSPTD) showcased an inspiring act of kindness that went beyond their usual duties yesterday (Mar 13) at Shah Alam.
In a Facebook post shared by Friends of Trafik IPD Shah Alam, it wrote that a 76-year-old man named Tan Lee Bin went to the Traffic Summons Payment Counter to settle a fine.
However, he later learned that his vehicle had been blacklisted, which meant he needed to pay his traffic fine before he could renew his road tax and insurance.
However, after paying the fine, Tan faced another hurdle: he was not in good health and realized he didn’t have enough money left to return to his home in Puchong Perdana.
Recognising his predicament, the officers stepped in to help, where they personally ensured Tan was safely escorted back to his residence.
This act of kindness demonstrates the police’s commitment to serving and protecting the community, not just through law enforcement but by building a bridge of empathy and support across generations and backgrounds.
