While bringing your pet for a regular checkup session is important for the monitoring of their health, it can sometimes be a whole battle of its own if your pet refuses to cooperate.
Aside from trying to lure them to see the vet, having them take their medication promptly and obediently is also another challenge.
M’sian nurse tries explaining to dog how to take its meds
In a TikTok video shared by a vet clinic in Alor Setar, Kedah, it showed an adorable interaction between a dog and a nurse who was on duty that day.
In the video, the owner of the dog can be seen listening to the nurse explaining the dosage and intake of the prescription when his dog decided to poke its head over the counter and listen in too.
The nurse then proceeded to turn her attention to the dog, where she ‘explained’ to it on how it should take its medications and its dosage.
The dog responded with adorable nods and attentive expressions, hanging on to every word with the utmost curiosity.
Speaking to Weirdkaya, the clinic revealed that the dog’s owner was a regular and just like him, the dog was a friendly creature too.
They also mentioned that such delightful interactions are a regular feature at their clinic, where it’s aimed at maintaining a lively and soothing atmosphere for their furry patients.
We always ‘talk’ to our patients to make sure they’re less nervous.
“Despite a majority of our staff being Muslims, we don’t discriminate and accept dogs as their patients as our utmost priority is the health of our patients,” it said.

The video has since garnered more than 600,000 views at the time of writing and netizens were tickled to see the nurse taking the initiative to ‘educate’ the dog on how to take its medications.
‘Maybe it (the dog) has trust issues with its owner. The dog be like: ‘Let me listen together because this old man will sometimes forget.’
‘After this the owner doesn’t understand (what the nurse said) so the dog has to explain it to him at home.’
