For women, being out alone, especially at night, poses a form of danger to them as they may be attacked or assaulted by an unknown assailant.
A young nurse was found lying motionless on the grass along an intersection near Dangi in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, reported Kosmo.
M’sian nurse found lying unconscious beside car
In a short clip which has been circulating online, it showed the nurse, who was still in her work uniform, lying face first and both her feet left barefoot.
On top of that, she was found lying beside her Yellow Myvi, where it still had its lights on and engine running idly.
The Malay daily reported that the nurse was in her 30s and that the incident took place at around 10pm on Friday (Apr 19).
Police looking into possible assault
Speaking to reporters about the incident, Kuala Pilah district police chief Deputy Superintendent Syahrul Anuar Abdul Wahab said police received a report of a passerby who found the unconscious nurse and believed she was robbed at 11pm.
Later in a police statement, it was revealed that the the victim was on her way to work when she was allegedly cornered by the suspect, dragged out from her out, and beaten several times across the face. The victim also claimed that she was hit at the back of the head.
However, police ruled robbery out of the case as the victim’s personal belongings weren’t missing.
Syahrul Anuar added the victim is undergoing treatment at Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah (HTAN) and didn’t suffer any serious injuries.
The case is now being probed under Section 324 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing injury with a weapon.
