As travellers eagerly return from their vacations, the anticipation of reaching home sweet home is a universal sentiment.
However, one TikTok user’s journey took an unexpected turn at KLIA2 Sepang, as captured in a viral video by @terbang.666.
A collision of luggage alters traveller’s “Ending 2023” moments
In the brief 10-second clip, @terbang.666 begins on a seemingly ordinary note, standing on an escalator with luggage by his side.

As he descends, the atmosphere takes a sudden twist when a loud crash disrupts the tranquility.

It turns out that a pink suitcase, not belonging to @terbang.666, careened down from the top of the escalator, colliding with his luggage.

The TikTok user, visibly irritated and shocked, shares his dismay in the video caption: “I was about to have my ‘Ending 2023’ moments. And there’s this luggage that slipped out from the top, and it hit me and my luggage. It’s all scratched now!!!”
Leg injury and ‘happy go lucky’
In an exclusive interview with WeirdKaya, Paem Wong, the TikTok user behind the viral airport mishap video, shed light on the incident that occurred on December 30th.
Paem had just returned from Johor and was en route from KLIA2 to Langkawi when the unexpected clash of luggage took place.
Discussing the aftermath, Paem disclosed that he sustained a leg injury during the incident on December 30th around 4 pm.
Despite the mishap, he considers himself a “happy-go-lucky” individual, attributing the collision to an accident rather than intentional harm.
It’s still usable
Addressing the condition of his luggage, Paem mentioned that his recently purchased suitcase now bears scratches. Despite this setback, he assured that the luggage remains usable.

When questioned about his initial reaction and interaction with the owner of the pink luggage, Wong revealed a mix of emotions.
‘I was in a good mood that day’
Although initially upset, he found himself in a good mood that day. As they both descended from the escalator, Paem picked up both his and the other person’s luggage. Surprisingly, the owner apologised sincerely, diffusing tension.
Sharing a humorous twist to the story, Wong stated:
“Honestly, I was mad, but coincidentally, I was in a good mood that day. I heard the owner of the luggage from above saying, ‘He must be mad, I’m toast.’ While descending the escalator, I picked up both my luggage and theirs. The owner apologised to me humbly.
I just laughed, and coincidentally, he happened to be on the same flight as me. Every time we glanced at each other during the flight, we both just laughed.”
In conclusion, Paem took the opportunity to offer advice to fellow travellers, emphasising, Please be careful and vigilant when you’re on the escalator. If this had happened to someone else, it could have been chaotic. Fortunately, I can control myself and my temper.”
‘He is pissed!’
The video has rapidly gained traction, amassing over 113k views at the time of writing. The comment section reflects a mix of amusement and empathy from viewers.

One commenter observes, “He looks pissed,” capturing the evident frustration on @terbang.666’s face.
Another adds a touch of humour, saying, “You were about to get in your feelings, and then this happened.”
Well, who can blame him for that reaction, right?
