A Malaysian mother has taken to social media to accuse her babysitter of neglect and “double standards” after discovering that her nine-month-old baby was allegedly left lying in a cradle the entire day while another child of the same age was allowed to play freely.
The woman shared her experience on Threads, saying that every time she arrived after work to pick up her child, she would find him in the same position, lying in the cradle, while another baby was crawling and playing on the floor.
Nine months old but always in cradle
My child is nine months old but still cannot sit or crawl. Every day when I go to pick him up, he is lying in the cradle, while the other baby is allowed to play on the floor,” she wrote.
She claimed the babysitter not only ignored her baby’s developmental needs but also showed clear signs of “preferential treatment”.
She said she once prepared dragon fruit as a snack for her son, only to be told by the babysitter that she “didn’t have time” to feed him — yet she witnessed the other baby being served fruit on the spot.

That child is the same age as my son, also nine months, but the babysitter only feeds him and not mine,” she said.
The mother added that the babysitter would also compare her son with other babies, saying things like, “Other babies can already walk, but your son can’t do anything.”
Babysitter only take care other child
Feeling increasingly uneasy, the mother confronted the babysitter about why her baby was always kept in the cradle.

The babysitter allegedly responded that she was “too tired to carry him”, even though she appeared able to care for the other child without issue.
She suspects the babysitter treated the babies differently based on the parents’ occupations.
When I asked her why my child was always in the cradle, she said she was too tired. But she could look after the other child just fine. Maybe it’s because I’m an office clerk and the other baby’s parents are doctors,” she wrote.
