A Malaysian motorcyclist is under fire after a video of him performing the viral “bow dance” while standing on a moving superbike went viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism for his reckless behavior.
The 13-second clip, shared by the Facebook page “Penang Kini,” shows the man in full rider gear riding along the Penang Bridge.
Doing dance moves on motorcycle
Midway through the ride, he suddenly stands upright on his heavy motorcycle and begins swaying his arms and legs in what appears to be a dramatic imitation of the viral “boat bow dance.”

At one point in the video, a car appears ahead of the motorcyclist.
He swiftly grabs the handlebars to steer around it, all while remaining on his feet — a heart-stopping moment that shocked many viewers.
The “bow dance” trend first gained traction after an 11-year-old boy from Indonesia went viral for performing an energetic dance at the bow of a traditional boat during a racing festival. His talent and charisma captured hearts worldwide and inspired a wave of imitation videos.
Netizens’ reaction
Though the clip is brief, its dangerous content sparked intense backlash online. Many netizens criticized the man for treating his life — and the safety of others — as a joke.
“This isn’t a trend, it’s stupidity at its finest,” one comment read.
“He’s not dancing with style, he’s dancing with death,” another remarked.
However, many netizens were quick to point out that copying the trend while on a highway — let alone on a moving motorcycle — was not only irresponsible but also life-threatening.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement on the incident, but netizens are calling for strict action to deter similar stunts from happening again.
