Barely days after the horrific van crash which took the lives of six people, yet another fatal accident has occurred, this time involving a motorcyclist.
China Press reported that the tragedy occurred at 2.30pm yesterday at KM5 of Jalan Batang Kali heading towards Genting Highlands.
Motorcyclist dies while on his way to Genting Highlands
Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said the victim was a 29-year-old while the car driver was 53-years-old.
He added that the victim was severely injured and died at the scene but the driver escaped unhurt.
Suffian said that the victim’s body was sent to the Kuala Kubu Bharu hospital for an autopsy and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous driving.
Eyewitnesses to the accident are also encouraged to step forward and provide further information which may help aid investigations.
