A post recently went viral, detailing a netizen’s experience with the purchase of a first car, an Axia.
In this post, it was mentioned that the car was often lent to parents whenever they required it.
However, in a particular phone conversation, the mother shared reservations about the Axia, based on feedback from an acquaintance. She questioned the Axia’s suitability for long journeys and suggested it might be more appropriate as a secondary car.

Should parents hurt their child’s feelings?
The conversation was cut short by the netizen, out of concern for potentially responding negatively to the mother’s views.
“A week has passed, and those comments from my mother still linger in my mind.” The netizen wrote.
Even though the mother was relaying someone else’s words, it felt as if she might share those sentiments.
“If a parent can be hurt by words or actions from their child, is it equally valid for the child to feel hurt when roles reverse?”
Netizen’s reaction
The post has since gone viral after it was published on X by @twtsecretsmy, and has accumulated 584.3K views and 200 comments.
The majority of them voiced out support to the netizen, acknowledging that it must be frustrating to hear such a comment.

The sentence is correct as written: “Some even commented that it is none of the mum’s friend’s business to criticize.”
