In the recent food scam saga, a Malaysian man, Faheem, spilled the beans on a pitiful yet hilarious banana fritters escapade on his X account, @magmalaya.

He stumbled upon these tiny snacks at a roadside stall, seemingly auditioning for an anchovy impersonation, which was actually banana fritters.

Sharing the scoop on his experience, he wrote in his post mentioning he grabbed five of banana fritters for just 5 pieces at RM2.

Speaking to WeirdKaya, the OP told us he was totally shocked when he first saw these thinly sliced bananas.

“I was a bit shocked because the size is small. They sliced the banana piece by piece, not like normal banana fritters,” he said, mentioning that he didn’t notice the size of it at first when buying at the stall.

Revealing the stall’s location near Alam Budiman, Setia Alam, he shared that the tiny banana fritters didn’t quite hit the flavor jackpot – they turned out a bit on the bland side, and he ended up not finishing them.

“I won’t buy it again.” he told us.

Also, the OP gives some advice to the street vendor.

“Actually, customers are willing to pay more if the product you sell is worth it. Street vendors, don’t be afraid to raise the price a little, as long as you have a product that satisfies the customer’s need,” he said.
