Would you believe someone could travel across 25 countries in a humble Perodua Kelisa?
Well, that’s exactly what Nursulhi Rahim, a 47-year-old contractor from Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, did – and he spent nearly RM200,000 in the process.

An Epic Journey Across 25 Countries
Nursulhi embarked on his epic journey on January 4, 2019, with nothing more than his trusty Kelisa, which he’s owned since 2004, and a spirit full of adventure.
Along the way, he faced countless challenges, including three near-death experiences caused by snowstorms that left his car skidding off roads in Sweden, Turkiye, and Switzerland.
But for Nursulhi, those hair-raising moments only added to the thrill of his journey, which took him through countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Bulgaria, and even as far as Italy.
Altogether, he covered a staggering 53,391 kilometers.

Six Years of Saving for the Dream
Incredibly, this journey wasn’t something Nursulhi could just dive into on a whim.
It took him six years of saving from doing contract work like house repairs, cleaning drains, and even scrubbing toilets around Bangi, Kuala Lumpur, and Damansara.
With his hard-earned savings and the company of his 18-year-old son, Muhammad Aidil, Nursulhi set off to fulfill his travel dreams.
The Perodua Kelisa – A True Companion
His Perodua Kelisa, which he also used for daily chores like transporting cement and sand for work, was his only vehicle option.
Yet, this didn’t stop him from making the long-haul journey through various terrains and climates.
“This isn’t about gaining sympathy. I want people to realize that you don’t need a fancy vehicle to travel the world. Any car will do if you have the passion and determination.” he said.

More Than Just About Money
He also highlighted that it’s not just about money.
“It’s not necessarily about being rich or having loads of cash. What’s most important is that if Allah permits it, you’ll make it to your destination,” he said, humbly adding that his journey wasn’t about seeking fame or recognition.
A Journey Fueled by Passion
Throughout his travels, Nursulhi spent nearly RM200,000 on internet access, vehicle repairs, and other essentials.
But to him, every ringgit was well spent because it showed that, regardless of what kind of car you drive or how much money you have, if you’re passionate enough, anything is possible.
“I just want people to know that we can do it if we really put our heart into it. No matter what kind of vehicle you have, if you want to travel, go for it wholeheartedly,” he concluded, proving that adventure truly knows no limits.
Whether you’re driving a Kelisa or another modest vehicle, it’s not about what you have—it’s about the drive within you.
