A terrifying dashcam footage showed a man being thrown off his motorcycle after a lorry tyre suddenly flew off from the vehicle and collided into him.
The incident was reported to have occurred at 11.46am on Friday (Aug 25) at the Taman Bukit Seputeh intersection near the Mid Valley shopping mall.
M’sian man sent flying after lorry tyre knocks into his motorcycle
In the 5-second video which has been making rounds on social media, it showed the man riding his motorcycle at the middle lane of the road.
Barely a second into the clip, a lorry tyre can be seen barreling its way towards the man before coming into contact with his motorcycle.

Due to the impact and speed at which the lorry tyre was hurtling itself towards him, the man was flung off his motorcycle and landed on the road while rolling over several times.

Thankfully, the driver managed to swerve his car in time and avoided running the vehicle over the man.
As for the lorry tyre, it was seen rolling towards the divider before ricocheting off it and bouncing onto the driver’s bonnet.
Suffered head injuries
Speaking to BuletinTV3, the dashcam footage owner, Mohd Zulhelmie Zullifan, said he immediately pulled to the side of the road to check on the man following the accident.
“When I called for the ambulance, I was told advised not to let the victim move too much. But he (the victim) insisted on getting up and asked for his glasses, which we eventually found on the road.

“Several first respondents from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) arrived at the scene to examine the man and they found that he suffered minor head wounds but no major bleeding,” he said.
Mohd Zulhelmie added that he also tried contacting the man’s family with the latter’s phone but couldn’t do so as the device wouldn’t turn on.
“45 minutes later, the ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital. The truck driver and I later went to the police station to file a report.”
