He will also distribute the prayer kits to across eight states nationwide, including Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Terengganu, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, and Kuala Lumpur.

Why prayer kits particularly?

“During this fasting month, while others spend their time immersed in Quranic recitations, I must confess, I’m still honing my Quranic reading skills,” Eky revealed.

In response, he took the initiative to distribute prayer kits, envisioning that they would serve the needs of imams and congregants in mosques.

Moreover, this marks the second consecutive year of his noble cause, carrying forward the momentum from its inception in 2022.

He doesn’t want to burden others

This kindhearted man explained that he chose to sell his personal belongings and toy collections because he didn’t want to burden anyone else to fulfill his charitable intentions.

“I don’t like asking for donations, so I decided to sell my toy collections and Hot Wheels at home. Additionally, I sold unused shoe collections because keeping many unused items at home without using them is sinful, and I don’t want to be questioned about it later,” he stated.

However, there are also people who want to donate money and Qurans because of their intention to give charity.

This effort does not stop here because he also initiates help during months other than Ramadan, such as helping the less fortunate, disaster victims, and others in need.

As he continues his mission of giving back to his community, he hopes to inspire others to find their own unique ways of making a difference in the world.

Whether he’s selling his cherished possessions or lending a hand to those in need, Eky Ekmarl’s story shines as a symbol of hope and compassion, especially in these difficult times.
