For pet owners, leaving your furry friend at home for just a day or weeks can prove to be very difficult as you’ll be yearning to see and cuddle them again.
A man who left his dog at home for three weeks had a sweet reunion with it, which he captured it in a now-viral TikTok video.

In the minute-and-a-half long clip, it showed Thivyan hiding behind a curtain in the living room after returning home as he wanted to see what would be his dog’s reaction.
The cocker spaniel named Vella dashed out from the kitchen and headed straight to the porch, where he found Thivya’s shoes and began sniffing at it to pick up his scent.
Vella then headed to the living room, where he discovered Thivya’s backpack and sniffed at it too. However, he still didn’t realise that his owner was hiding behind the curtain.
It wasn’t until Thivya called out to Vella did he run down the stairs and was finally able to locate him, where he greeted Thivya with excited licks and whines.
In return, Thivya held Vella in his arms and gave the dog a tight hug along with several kisses as Vella wagged its tail with joy.
Netizens melt over clip
The clip has since garnered more than 320,000 views at the time of writing and netizens were tearing up over the touching reunion.
One netizen wrote about how his dog would often forget him once he steps out of the house for university and doesn’t welcome him warmly when he returns.
