Just when you think a quiet afternoon enjoying your drink at a cafe is the perfect relaxation, the unexpected happens.
This is exactly what a Malaysian man experienced at a local shopping mall recently. Little did he know that his peaceful afternoon was about to be rudely interrupted, leaving him disgusted and turning to TikTok @ilhmz.pdf to share his unfortunate encounter.
In a shopping mall’s café, the man was at the receiving end of an unappetising “extra ingredient” in his drink, courtesy of a kid lurking upstairs.
The misbehaving kid decided to launch a salivary missile which found its way into the man’s drink. Not to mention the spit stains on the floor that added to his disgust.

Upon realising the unpleasant addition to his beverage, the man looked up, only to see the young offender scurrying away.

Expressing his distaste and indignation, he took to TikTok to share the incident, reminding parents about the importance of keeping an eye on their children, particularly in public spaces.
He pondered, “What if the spit had landed on my cake? It would have been a complete waste of good food.”
Happened in Ipoh Parade
Speaking to WeirdKaya, he revealed that the incident occurred at Ipoh Parade while he was dining at Secret Recipe. When asked if he approached the kid’s parents about the incident, he chose to let it slide despite the unpleasant experience.
The incident sparked various reactions from netizens, with some chiming in with their thoughts on parental responsibility.
One user commented, “and they will say ‘they’re just small kids, it’s normal’ If it happened to my mom, kid or not, you’re finished.”

Another user, feeling the weight of parenting, requested advice, “Please give tips on educating stubborn kids and managing tantrums. I’m tired of turning into the Hulk every day 😔.”
This plea is a reminder that while the incident is regrettable, addressing such behaviour can be a struggle for parents too.

The incident serves as a reality check about the importance of children’s behaviour in public places and the role parents play in shaping it.
