Ever been stuck on the side of the road with no idea what to do? That’s exactly what a group of Chinese tourists experienced recently while driving in Malaysia.
Stranded with a flat tire and no tools to fix it, they thought help might never come—until a local man named Ruhaizak (@ruhaizak) decided to step up.
The story, which Ruhaizak shared on TikTok, began when he noticed the group struggling by the roadside.

Their rental car had a flat tire, and while they had a spare, they didn’t have the right wrench to loosen the nuts.
Other cars just drove past, but Ruhaizak couldn’t ignore their situation.
He stopped to see how he could help but realised the tools they needed weren’t available. Instead of giving up, he went back to his house to grab the necessary equipment.

That extra effort made all the difference.
Grateful for his kindness, the tourists offered Ruhaizak and his friend some money and two cans of drinks as a thank-you.

But here’s the thing—Ruhaizak refused the money, explaining that he was simply helping out of goodwill.
“They insisted on giving something even though they didn’t know we were helping out of sincerity,” he shared.
Even after multiple refusals, one of the tourists, a determined woman, wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Finally, to avoid making the situation awkward, Ruhaizak and his friend accepted the drinks but continued to decline the cash.

“They were just so happy to get back on the road. They’d been desperately trying to stop other cars, but no one else stopped,” Ruhaizak said, reflecting on the moment.
The story didn’t just touch the tourists—it touched millions of people online too.
In the comments, people praised Ruhaizak and his friend for their selflessness, with many calling their act of kindness inspiring.
One user commented, “When we help solve other people’s problems, God will solve ours one day.”
Another shared, “There’s a sense of fulfilment that can’t be put into words when you help others.”
Sometimes, being human is about showing up for others—even when you don’t have to.
And in this case, Ruhaizak’s willingness to help not only made the tourists’ day but left an impact far beyond the roadside.
