Aside from wedding rings, our fingers aren’t designed to fit anything else onto it. But it seems that some people just want to scratch an itch and push their luck.
A man in Sungai Petani learned his lesson in the most excruciating manner possible after he was forced to amputate four of his fingers which were fitted with metal nuts.

M’sian man has 4 of his fingers cut off due to infection
According to a report by China Press, the man had worn seven metal nuts on his fingers, only to later discover that he couldn’t take them off.
With the metal nuts completely stuck, the man’s fingers gradually became necrotic as blood circulation was cut off, prompting him to seek treatment at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital (HSAH).
In a statement by Amanjaya Fire and Rescue Station chief Azahari Abdullah, he said the team received a call at 2.09pm regarding the incident.
When we arrived at the hospital, we found that several fingers on both of the man’s hands were severely swollen and showed signs of infection.

“Hospital staff had already successfully removed two of the nuts and the firefighters then used special tools to cut and remove the third nut, which was stuck on the man’s left middle finger — a process which took around 15 minutes.
“However, the remaining four fingers had already suffered necrosis due to prolonged lack of blood flow and had to be amputated,” he said.
It’s not known why the man decided to adorn his fingers with the metal nuts, reported NST.
The public was also reminded not to put metal objects on their fingers or other body parts as it could lead to serious consequences.
