Some individuals make it a habit to perform kind gestures for those in need, often expecting their efforts to bring positivity. However, even the simplest act of offering food can sometimes take an unexpected turn.
This was what happened to a man who saw his act of kindness backfiring on him when the intended recipient raised her voice at him.
M’sian man gets yelled at by homeless woman
In a TikTok video shared by @apekseller, it showed him approaching a homeless woman sitting by the side of road while holding a plastic bag of food in his hand.
But as soon as he asked her whether she had eaten, the woman suddenly became aggressive and yelled, ‘Tak mau!’ (I don’t want) at him.
Needless to say, the woman’s reaction startled the OP and he had no choice but to back off. He also added that another man who was behind him fled when the woman yelled at him.
The OP mentioned in the video that all he wanted to do was to give the woman some nasi Arab but never expected such a response.
Maybe she just wanted some money. I’m trying to think positively.”
He also clarified that the reason behind him recording the interaction was for his own personal protection and not to make content out of it.
Netizens defend the woman
In the comment section, a handful of netizens were sympathetic towards the woman and speculated on what could have caused her to react the way she did.
‘Maybe she thought you were selling the food but she didn’t have enough money.’
‘Maybe she had a bad experience before, when someone offered her food and it wasn’t properly made.‘
‘She doesn’t want people to record her…if you want to give her food, don’t record. Maybe that’s why she screamed.’
