What was supposed to be another routine pickup of his wife from her practical training turned into a shock for Wan Muhammad Naim Wan Hussin in Pantai Air Tawar, Terengganu.
To his shock, his wife wasn’t the only victim in the tragedy as her boss was also caught in it as well.
Found victims dead at fish pond
Speaking to NST, Wan Muhammad Naim said he went to the fish pond at about 1pm yesterday (Sept 13) to pick up his wife, Rubayyi Razak, and take her home for her lunch break.
When he arrived, he saw two individuals lying unconscious on the ground, with one on top of the other.
From a distance, I saw two people lying on the ground, one on top of the other. When I got closer, I realised they were my wife and her employer Wan Adilah Wan Awan,” he recounted.
Wan Muhammad Naim said both victims were later pronounced dead, where the cause of death was allegedly due to electrocution.
Was undergoing internship
Wan Muhammad Naim added his wife was a Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biodiversity.
She was also undergoing her industrial training at the time, which started on Aug 10 and was scheduled to end on Oct 2.
Rubbayi leaves behind two young children aged two and four months respectively.
Meanwhile, Besut district police chief Supt Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim said that the case had been classified as sudden death, with the bodies being sent to the Forensic Unit of Besut Hospital for post-mortem.
