Residents of a quiet village in Kota Bahru, Kelantan were left shaken after a man suddenly lost consciousness before passing away at the scene.
According to China Press, the tragedy took place at around 10am today in front of a paint shop in Kampung Tapang.
Was riding new bicycle home
According to a resident named Tuan Mazli (transliteration), he said he saw the victim’s face turning pale and blood flowing out from his nose before he collapsed to the ground and stopped breathing.
Although some rushed over to offer assistance, they became hesitant and someone eventually called the police.
Tuan Mazli added a receipt for a bicycle was found on the victim and that the bicycle he was riding home was brand new.
It is said that the receipt showed the bicycle was purchased from a shop located in Kok Lanas.
Reportedly suffered a heart attack
The Chinese daily reported that the victim had been receiving treatment for a heart condition at a hospital for the past two years, leading many to speculate that a heart attack may have caused his demise.
His body has been sent to the mortuary and police have not yet released a statement on the incident at the time of writing.
