Indulgent treats often come with a hidden cost, and it’s not just the calories that can catch us off guard—it’s the sugar content.
As more people become health-conscious, paying closer attention to what goes into their favourite foods and drinks has become a growing trend.
Popular dessert chain’s coffee drink contains 25 teaspoons of sugar
One popular ice cream chain, which has rapidly expanded across Malaysia, is now in the spotlight after a fitness trainer revealed a surprising discovery about their latest coffee drink.

Recently, this well-known brand launched a coffee drink paired with their signature ice cream, a product that quickly captured the attention of dessert lovers.
However, a viral TikTok video by personal trainer @rexfitness_ has raised eyebrows after he tested the sugar levels in the drink. The results? Shocking.

Using a sugar meter, he found that the coffee drink contained 23.8% sugar per 100ml, which meant that a 500ml serving packed around 119 grams of sugar—equivalent to 25 teaspoons!

While the trainer was taken aback by the sheer amount of sugar, he reassured viewers that enjoying the drink in moderation—perhaps once a week—wouldn’t be a huge problem, and customers could also request less sugar.
The revelation sparked discussions online, with many agreeing that the drink is sweet, but some pointed out that you can order it without added sugar.
