A man was caught on CCTV acting violently towards a female security guard in Puchong, triggering a police search for his whereabouts.
This was all because the security guard declined to be in a romantic relationship with him, causing him to fly off the handle and assault her.
M’sian man chokes and punches female security guard
In the six-minute long CCTV footage which has made rounds on social media, it showed the man talking to the female security guard near the security booth.
Several minutes into the clip, the man, who became visibly angry, suddenly lunged towards the security guard and wrapped his arms around her neck from behind in an attempt to choke her.

Though the security guard managed to escape his grasp, the man continued to act aggressively towards her, where he spoke angrily while getting right up to her face.
He also tried to injure her with a pocket knife, but she managed to avoid it in the nick of time.
Three hours later, the man returned close to 3.30am and stormed into the security booth, where he punched the security guard and once again tried to strangle her while threatening to kill her.

As the duo continued to scuffle inside the booth, a male colleague of the security guard stepped in and separated them to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Became angry after advances were rejected
Astro Awani reported the security guard later lodged a police report over the incident on Wednesday (Feb 26).
Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner A. Anbalagan said in a statement that the assault occurred when the suspect confessed his love for the victim.
However, she rejected his advances as she was in the midst of getting a divorce.

“Police are working to track down and arrest the suspect. The case is being investigated under Section 324 and 506 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 6 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Dangerous Weapons Act 1958, for offenses involving causing injury with a weapon, criminal intimidation, and carrying a dangerous weapon in a public place.
“Those with further information are urged to contact the Serdang District Police Headquarters at 03-80742222,” he said.
