A man in Jenjarom, Selangor, allegedly attempted to record under a woman’s dress at a local supermarket, sparking a police investigation into the incident.
The incident reportedly took place on December 9, 2024, at around 10.36am.
The woman, who lodged a police report, claimed she noticed suspicious behaviour while shopping.
Upon checking CCTV footage, it was found that the man had allegedly lifted the hem of her dress and attempted to record underneath.
The footage revealed a man allegedly recording under her dress while she was shopping.
The visuals, now circulating online, show the suspect wearing a green T-shirt, black pants, and white shoes.
The Kuala Langat police have since opened an investigation under Section 509 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum jail term of five years, a fine, or both for insulting a person’s modesty.
The case is also being investigated under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act, which imposes a fine of up to RM100 if found guilty.
Authorities are now actively working to identify and locate the suspect involved.
