Everyone needs a ‘me time’ now and then; and many do indulge in self care acts to revitalise themselves, including a good haircut.
Unfortunately for one man ,his haircut session turned out to be way more expensive than he expected and he allegedly fled after he was served with the bill.
M’sian man allegedly flees from hair salon after getting RM890 bill
In a Facebook post by a netizen named Eddy Teller, he shared how one of his customers allegedly fled from a hair salon at Pavilion, Bukit Bintang, after getting a bill amounting to RM890 for a haircut.
According to the post, Eddy mentioned that the young man scammed his niece of RM890 worth of hair cutting and styling services on Nov 13.
A police report has been lodged in Dang Wangi Police Station.
“He got his hair done at Miko Galere, Pavilion (my niece is the hairstylist) amounting to RM890 and fled without paying.
Eddy also shared a copy copy of the receipt, which showed the young man spent RM280 on dying his hair (RM280), RM280 for a relaxing treatment (RM280), RM130 for a haircut (RM130), and RM200 for a step 1 treatment.
“To whoever that knows this man, please ask him to go back to the hair salon and pay his dues and create an apology video.
If you can’t afford then just get a haircut at a ‘mamak’ (salon),” he wrote.
A police report has also been lodged at the Dang Wangi police station by Eddy over the incident.
Personal details of the customer such as his photos, name, and workplace were also shared. Eddy also added that he managed to track down the number plate of the motorcycle used by the customer, where it was revealed that he had owed money on it for almost a year.
‘So expensive?!’
The Facebook post was later reshared on X by a user named @noone, where it garnered tons of shocked comments from netizens.
‘Getting a haircut worth more than RM800? My B40 soul is curious…next time we have to make sure it’s RM80 and not RM800.’
‘When the Indian barber wants to charge me RM14, even I will negotiate with him.’
‘A haircut that costs all the way to RM800, but it still get ruined after wearing a helmet.’
