M’sian Janitor Fined RM80k For Selling Wife’s ‘Swinger’ Videos Online For RM100 Each

He had been selling explicit videos dating back to 2016, court reveals.
The internet may seem like a free-for-all playground, but crossing legal and ethical boundaries can lead to serious consequences.

Sharing obscene or explicit content, especially for profit, is not just morally questionable—it’s a punishable offense under the law.

This harsh reality caught up with a 45-year-old janitor, Kamarulnazri Desa@Yahaya, who was fined RM80,000 by the Sessions Court for distributing explicit group sex videos on social media for commercial purposes.

His actions, spanning several incidents early last year, left authorities with little choice but to bring him to justice.

Kamarulnazri’s troubles began when authorities flagged his explicit content shared through the X application on January 26 and February 4, followed by Telegram links on February 8 and February 17, reported Harian Metro.

The videos, which were sold for RM100 each, came to light after the Kubang Pasu District Police Headquarters received reports and conducted an investigation on February 20.

These actions landed him in violation of Section 233(1)(a) and 233(2)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, which carries penalties of up to RM50,000 in fines, a year in prison, or both.

The investigation also uncovered payment receipts, confirming his commercial intent.

A Plea for Mercy

When presented in court, Kamarulnazri pleaded guilty and appealed for leniency.

Unrepresented by a lawyer, he highlighted his financial struggles, stating that he earns RM1,500 a month as a cleaner and is the sole provider for his wife, four children—including two university students—and an ailing grandmother.

Despite his plea, his actions painted a different picture.

Uploaded videos promoting group sex, including footage of his wife with another man

Deputy Public Prosecutor Fatin Hadni Khairuddin argued for a harsher sentence, pointing to the deliberate and exploitative nature of Kamarulnazri’s activities.

She revealed that he had uploaded videos promoting group sex, including footage of his wife with another man, which were sold online.

Further investigations by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) uncovered a history of similar explicit uploads dating back to 2016.

“This behaviour must be stopped to prevent such content from being accessed, especially by children,” Fatin argued, emphasising the need for strong deterrents.

Fine of RM80,000 or two years in prison

In the end, Judge Mazdi Abdul Hamid handed down a fine of RM80,000 or two years in prison if the fine was not paid.

As of 4 p.m., Kamarulnazri had failed to settle the fine and was sent to Pokok Sena Prison to serve his sentence.
