He also invited critics to meet up personally to know the full story.

It didn’t take long for the bad comments to flow in and garner widespread attention, so much so that Prince Syed felt there was a need to alert the police about it.

This was later confirmed by the influencer himself in a 10-minute long Facebook video, where he revealed that he had lodged a police report at the Langkawi police station.

In the clip, Prince Syed said the purpose of the police report was to protect his reputation in light of the false statements and “abusive language” thrown at him and his businesses.

We’d like to say sorry and seek the forgiveness of everyone in Langkawi for our presence. As for those who posted clips and mentioned our names without knowing the full story, we’re happy to meet you and explain what happened.

“Thank you to those who gave us the opportunity to set up our business in Langkawi,” he wrote in the caption.

When contacted by NST, Langkawi’s deputy police chief Superintendent Samsulmuddin Sulaiman confirmed that a report was lodged by Prince Syed, adding that it was done to ” clear both his name and that of his business from online criticism”.
