According to Sinar Harian, the couple was detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Wednesday (June 10).
The married couple will reportedly be remanded in the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court today (June 11) as part of an investigation into allegations of misappropriating donation funds.
The investigation is focused on the collection of donations that reportedly exceed millions of ringgit.
However, it is understood that the funds were not properly channelled to their intended purpose.
This reminds us that being an influencer comes with big responsibilities. It’s important to be transparent and accountable, especially when handling public funds.
