Sometimes, the sweetest parts of a relationship are not grand gifts or expensive dates, but the little traditions that quietly become a couple’s own way of showing love.
M’sian man wears mascot costumes to pick up his wife
Photos shared by @amira.atiya on Threads went so viral after showing her husband appearing in several eye catching mascot costumes, including Rilakkuma, No-Face from Spirited Away, a T-Rex and even a frog.

For one airport pickup, he appeared dressed as Rilakkuma, leaving Amira with a whirlwind of emotions when she spotted him waiting for her.
“I was honestly happy, shocked, shy and emotional,” she told WeirdKaya, adding that she was deeply touched by the unexpected gesture.
From giving flowers to being a frog
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Amira shared that her husband’s thoughtful welcomes are actually nothing new as he has been doing them since the beginning of their marriage.

The couple have been married for almost six years, despite having known each other for only around three months before he asked her to marry him. Just three months after that, they tied the knot.
In the early days, her husband would usually welcome her home with flowers whenever he picked her up, which was why she never expected him to eventually take things to a whole new level.
‘He simply wanted to make me happy’
What made the surprise even more meaningful was that Amira had never asked her husband to bring flowers or dress up in costumes for her.

Instead, she said he simply wanted to make her happy and help her forget how exhausted she felt after returning from work trips, turning what could have been an ordinary journey home into something she could look forward to.

Amira previously expressed her gratitude for having found her husband and hoped they would continue loving each other for years to come. She also wished for others to meet a good partner at the right time in their lives.
