A Malaysian father recently warmed the hearts of many with his act of devotion towards his son who suffered from brain tumour.
Set up camp outside Ipoh hospital
In a post on the Facebook group Family Camping Malaysia, it showed the father named Adi, who went under the name Ryu Watanabe Miyuka, setting up camp outside a hospital in Ipoh in order to be near to his son.
It was later revealed that his son, who was just seven years old, was admitted to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) after he was found to have a brain tumor.
‘I want to be near my wife and son’
Not wanting to leave his son alone, Adi decided to park his Proton Satria right outside the hospital and built an extended canopy behind his car to sleep in.
He also explained the reason for him setting up camp instead of booking a room to stay in.
“I live in Sungkai, so travelling back and forth is costly. Renting a room alone costs around RM80-RM90 a night.”
I had no choice but to sleep in the car to get the doctor’s results quickly. I also wanted to save on my expenses and always be close to my wife and son.
Adi also asked netizens to pray for his son’s recovery and for his burdens to be eased.
Netizens wish father well
Adi’s story soon went viral and touched the hearts of many, who left words of encouragement and prayers for his son’s recovery.
Many were also impressed by the father’s sacrifice to care for his son.
