Parents will do almost anything to make sure their children’s needs are met, even it it means humbling themselves to ask a favour from strangers.
A man in Kajang recently experienced the kindness of restaurant staff after he came to them begging for food to feed his two kids.
Begged for food from restaurant
This touching incident was witnessed by restaurant owner Mohd Shafie, who recounted it to mStar.
According to him, he received a call from his staff about a man begging for free food just when the restaurant was about to close.
He then decided to check it out for himself via the CCTV link on his handphone and saw that the man was ashamed yet desperate to secure a meal for his children.
Without hesitation, Mohd Shafie instructed his staff to prepare two big packets of rice with dishes for the man.
Restaurant gives food for free
This act clearly took the man aback, who began crying upon receiving the food and thanked the staff profusely.
He was also given mineral water by the staff for free as well.
Mohd Shafie added that the man promised to pay for the food when he was financially able, but the staff told him that he didn’t need to as they wanted to help him.
Overwhelmed with emotion by their kindness, the man was seen leaving the restaurant while wiping away his tears.

‘I understand his pain’
Mohd Shafie told mStar that it was the last time he ever saw the man again, adding that it broke his heart to see such people struggling to get by.
However, he was also heartened to see how far the man was willing to go for his children out of love for them.
My wife is currently three months pregnant and we’re about to welcome our first child. As such, we’re able to understand how a father cares and protects his children,” he said.
Mohd Shafie also said that he plans to join a charity group as a volunteer to help those in need as he sees many homeless people near his restaurant starving.
