E-hailing services have become an integral part of daily life, offering convenience and affordability to countless riders worldwide.
However, not all rides are smooth journeys; some take an unexpected turn, leaving passengers taken aback and frustrated.
Recently, a group of foreign students in Malaysia experienced a tense encounter with a female e-hailing driver who angrily confronted them over the use of a ride voucher and accused them of wasting her time by making her wait.
“Mind Your Bloody Language!”
The incident, captured in a TikTok video shared by @a.b7_m, shows the driver berating the students during their ride.
In the footage, she emphatically states that being an e-hailing driver does not mean she is uneducated.
Frustrated and irate, she demanded the students “mind their bloody language” during the heated exchange.
“Get Out Now!”
Following that the situation escalated when the driver repeatedly yelled at the students to exit the vehicle immediately.
One of them asked the driver, “Why are you angry?” She replied, saying, “You all have no manners and made your driver wait so long.”
She accused them of making her wait for an unreasonable amount of time before entering the car.
One of the students, however, clarified that the delay was no more than five minutes.
This rebuttal only seemed to anger the driver further, prompting her to shout for him to “shut up” while threatening to involve the police.
Despite attempts to reason with the driver, the students eventually left the car amid her continued shouting.
“We’re Just Students”
In the video caption, the student who posted the clip provided more context.
The group had used a RM5 voucher to book the ride, opting for a standard four-seater vehicle.
According to the caption, the driver took issue with this, insisting they should have booked a larger vehicle despite it being unnecessary for three passengers.
“We can’t afford a six-seater because we’re students,” one of the students explained to the driver.
“This is what foreign students have to go through,” the OP concluded in the caption.
