A distressing road incident in Kuala Lumpur has drawn significant attention.
The original video uploaded to TikTok by @advance_ems_medivac highlighted a concerning episode on MRR2 Highway, near Flamingo Plaza.
It showed a Toyota Altis driver stubbornly refusing to move aside for an ambulance, even after repeated requests via the ambulance’s loudspeaker.
The Toyota driver, remaining in the right lane, refused to yield.
Each time the ambulance attempted to overtake, the Toyota driver maneuvered to block its path.
Driver’s life-threatening behaviour
The 1-minute footage reveals a Toyota Camry driver on MRR2 Highway engaging in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with an ambulance.
The driver strategically shifts between the first and second lanes, mirroring the ambulance’s movements to prevent it from passing.
This continuous obstruction occurred despite the ambulance’s critical mission to transport a severely ill patient.
Ampang Jaya police, led by Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, are actively searching for the driver to address this dangerous violation of road etiquette, according to Harian Metro.
