A Kelantan-based doctor who was embroiled in a viral affair scandal has released a video on Facebook publicly apologising to his wife.
In the video, the doctor and his wife also ask netizen to respect their privacy for his family.
Doctor apologises to wife in video
The doctor admitted that his wife had suffered greatly because of the controversy and once again apologised for the hurt he had caused her.
He revealed that his family had begun receiving various photos and videos related to the scandal as early as two to three months ago. During that time, he said he chose to be honest with his wife and seek her forgiveness.
We reached an understanding, and she decided to accept me back into the family so we can continue to work on our marriage together. Once again, I want to say thank you and sorry to her for giving me a second chance,” he said.
Wife Appears, Urges Respect For Privacy
He also added that the matter has now moved into the legal process and urged the public to allow space for his family.
We will take responsibility where it is due, and for other matters we will seek legal advice. I also want to apologise to my friends and family for the worry and unnecessary resources this incident has caused,” he said.
At the end of the video, his wife also appeared briefly to make a statement, asking the public not to involve their children and family members in the ongoing controversy.
