A drug detainee in Johor was sentenced to 20 months’ jail after pleading guilty to punching a fellow inmate during a fight at the Muar Correctional Centre.
The incident reportedly took place after the accused lost his temper over toilet cleanliness.

Fight broke out over toilet cleanliness
According to NST, the fight happened after the accused, Mohammad Dzaki Robani, became angry when the victim allegedly neglected the cleanliness of the toilet.
He was charged with causing grievous hurt to the victim at the correctional centre at around 2.30pm on March 5.
The incident took place near the pond area of the detention centre and was witnessed by two supervisors, who later lodged a police report.
Based on the facts of the case, a prison warden was alerted to a fight involving two inmates at the centre.
Investigations found that Mohammad Dzaki had punched the victim once in the face, causing serious injuries.
The victim was then rushed to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar, where he had to undergo surgery for a fractured eye socket bone.
Sentenced to 20 months’ jail
Magistrate Kartini Kasran handed down the 20 month jail sentence today after taking into account Mohammad Dzaki’s guilty plea, mitigation, and submissions from both the prosecution and defence.
The accused, who is single, was charged under Section 325 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum jail sentence of seven years and a fine upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Yasmin Mohd Piah prosecuted the case, while Mohammad Dzaki was represented by National Legal Aid Foundation lawyer Tee Xi Ran.
