Recently, a video shared on social media touched the hearts of many after a food delivery rider opened up about a difficult moment in his life, revealing how close he came to giving up after being tested by repeated hardships.
Motorcycle broke down before work
The man, who shared the video on his TikTok account, explained that his motorcycle suddenly broke down while he was on his way to begin his work for the day.
The incident left him stranded and overwhelmed, as the motorcycle was his only means of earning a living.
In the caption accompanying the video, he admitted that the emotional weight of his situation became almost unbearable at that moment.
Feeling exhausted and cornered by ongoing struggles, negative thoughts briefly crossed his mind as he stood alone dealing with the breakdown.
Realised giving up was not an option
However, the rider said he quickly realised that giving up was not an option. He reminded himself that he had responsibilities waiting for him at home and that it would be selfish to surrender to despair.
Despite not knowing how he would find the estimated RM2,000 needed to repair his motorcycle, he chose to push it to safety and continue fighting through the hardship.
I forced myself to stay strong even though I have no idea how to raise the money for the repairs. Please pray that I remain strong. This test is heavy, but I must be stronger than it,” he wrote.
The video quickly gained attention, with many social media users flooding the comments section with words of encouragement and emotional support. Some urged him to stay resilient, while others reminded him that tough times do not last forever.
