A delivery man was held in a chokehold by a man after he reportedly had a verbal altercation with a security guard who rejected his entry to the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) building to deliver a customer’s order.
The confrontation, which took place in front of a commercial establishment on Persiaran Tun Razak, has sparked widespread outrage.
The incident, captured in multiple videos and images, circulated online yesterday (3 Nov).
According to a post on Facebook by Azhar Juny, the security guard in question acted by calling a man in a red blazer, which then led to a scuffle between them.

“Stop it!”
In the video, a woman who is believed to be the one ordering delivery, can be heard stopping the man in the red blazer from hurting the rider.
I was the one who asked him (the rider) to come here. I will take responsibility if there is any scolding.
“I am also from Sabah. Do you consider people from Sabah as outsiders? He is not an outsider, you know.”
The man in the red blazer argued that the rider jumped on the security guard twice after his entry request was rejected.
However, the woman emphasised that she witnessed the security guard provoking the rider first.
The rider was then brought aside to rest by passersby.
Police investigating
Meanwhile, according to Kosmo!, the police are conducting an investigation regarding the viral video immediately after receiving a report at 2:34pm yesterday (3 Nov).
The Deputy Chief of Dang Wangi District Police, Superintendent Nazrin Abdul Yusof, said that preliminary investigations found that the incident occurred at 3:20pm, on Thursday (2 Nov).
“The incident that occurred between a delivery man and an individual stemmed from a misunderstanding, while the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
So far, a total of five individuals have been called to complete the investigation before being referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action,” he stated last night.
